Perda Longa — also known as Preda Longa — is a 128-metre limestone sea stack rising straight out of the water near Baunei. One of Ogliastra’s most striking natural monuments, this is the kind of place that makes you feel genuinely small in the best possible way.

The approach trail leads to the base of the stack, where the real fun begins. A series of easy but engaging scrambles along the ridge takes you up toward the summit — and the sensation is unlike anything else. It feels like riding a white rocky mane above the sea.

This is a technical route, but one that rewards every step. The highlight? The descent by abseil, a pure adrenaline moment that will stay with you long after the rope is packed away.
